Dit nieuws komt vlak voor WEG season 3, waar ze zich als nummer 1 voor geplaatst hebben na het verslaan van grote namen zoals NiP, EYE en NoA. Serious Gaming signs Team Wings Serious Gaming is happy to announce its new Counter-Strike team, Wings. After several weeks of negotiations, Serious Gaming and Team Wings have come to an agreement and have signed into a six month contract. Team Wings will now play for the Serious Gaming organization and use their tag for all Counter-Strike matches. Yesterday, Saturday the 8th of October, the management of Serious Gaming and Team Wings met in Amsterdam for a final meeting to finalize their contract and clear up on all issues. It was a pleasant and constructive meeting and it was evident the deal would be closed before long. Serious-Gaming's Counter-Strike Division: - Ilkka Mäkinen (barrack) - Janne Kuparinen (Kuppi) - Tomi Kovanen (lurppis) - Niko Kovanen (naSu) - Antti Mäkinen (Shiri) - Mika Benson (MezZo) - Coach - Shayan Taleb (Shayan) - Manager With the acquisition of its new Counter-Strike team, Serious Gaming will compete this month in the world’s biggest e-sporting event, the World e-Sports Games Season 3. This event will be held in Korea from the 20th of October until the 11th of December. The total prize pool for this event is $100,000 US. The whole WEG event will be broadcast live on Korean television, and it will be the best covered event on the internet. Since we know we are scheduled to play on Saturdays and Sundays, the Serious Counter-Strike team will be playing live every weekend, in front millions of television viewers. Before joining Serious Gaming, Team Wings won the European qualifier for the WEG Season 3, held on the 24th and 25th of September, in Stockholm, Sweden. Due to this accomplishment, the Serious Counter-Strike team will be seeded #1 in Korea. After the World e-Sports Games, the Serious Counter-Strike team will travel to Dallas, USA, to compete at the CPL Winter 2005 Counter-Strike tournament for $60,000 US in prizes.
