Bij het laatste toernooi waar internationale toppers aan meededen, wisten ze een 13-16e plek te veroveren. Met een 11-16 verlies werden ze naar huis gestuurd door het Braziliaanse CnB.

Officieel statement door DeKMaTcHeR:

Overall I think we had a better campaign then the previous ones. We passed the group stage with much more confidence with a strong performance against the French team Prodigy-esc. I felt we could have done better against Fnatic, but that’s not the team you expect to grab some points against.

In the brackets however we faced the Brazilian team CnB on de_train. We started of pretty well with a 7-2 lead on T side and felt really confident. Unfortunately we couldn’t finish them off and CnB made a strong comeback and managed to take the game. Actually we’re quite happy with our general performance at Gamegune despite the lack of luck in our last game against Wcrea.

As for me joining Antwerp Aces on a permanent base I would like to say that this was my first international event and I really enjoyed it! I also enjoyed the bootcamp we had previous to the event where we had a lot of fun. As for me and the team ‘fun’ is one of the main reasons why we keep playing and attend events in general. We hope more people from the Benelux start to play Counter-strike and attend international events. If you plan your trip right it’s definitely not that expensive, and you’ll get a lot more in return!

You will still see us attending as many competitions in the Benelux region but our next international event will probably be Dreamhack Winter again.
